Good news, bad news

Andy Beattie and Danny Grewcock

Good news from Bath Rugby medical room: Danny Grewcock and Andy Beattie, who were both sidelined due to injury, will be fit and ready to be fielded next week when Bath take on Cardiff Blues away in their final EDF Energy Cup pool game.

Danny, who suffered a bicep injury during the first half of the 24-16 home warm-up win over Llanelli Scarlets, declared that, despite he wasn’t ready for last Friday game with Sale, he will be fit for Cardiff.

Andy, after a 8 month absence due to damaged knee ligaments at Bristol back in March, has also made an excellent recovery and is ready to play as well.

On the other hand scrum-half Michael Claassens is likely to be out for at least four weeks after picking up a knee ligament injury during the Heineken Cup clash against Newport Gwent Dragons two weeks ago.
